Description: To celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Bangladeshi film industry, Channel-i’s 3rd Cholochitro mela 2010, sponsored by Cute, took place at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) on December 19. Speaker of the National Assembly, Advocate Abdul Hamid, inaugurated the day-long fair. On this occasion, veteran actress Anwara, famed for her role as ‘Aleya’ in the film ‘Nawab Shirajuddawla’, received a Lifetime Achievement award. Director of ‘Ora Agaro Jon’ Chashi Nazrul Islam, singer Sayed Abdul Hadi and Ferdousi Rahman received special accolades for their contribution to the industry.
